Dear TAGKC Member,

TAGKC would like to invite our members and others in our community, along with their families, to join us for a fun-filled Sunday afternoon, March 08th 2020, (03/08/2020) where TAGKC will be sponsoring the temple lunch followed by fun-filled games for everyone.

  • Rangoli
  • Kids Art (2 Groups: 10 and below, 11 and above)
  • Chess (2 Groups: 12 and below, 13 and above)
  • Women's day celebration(Cake cutting and Special games for Women's) 

Rules for Rangoli:

  • This is open for all age groups combined.
  • A maximum of 6 participants are allowed per team and participant fee is due before the competition starts.
  • The time duration for making muggu (rangoli) is 2 hrs. No extra time will be given.
  • One muggu (rangoli) per team is allowed and the area is limited to one round table of 6 ft.
  • Rangoli materials like chalk powder, colors, etc will be provided by TAGKC. Participants have to bring any other decorative materials needed.
  • A maximum of 12 teams is allowed. 
  • Judges will choose the best rangoli by design, theme, presentation and creativity. Three prizes will be awarded in this category.1st, 2nd and 3rd.
  • Prizes will be awarded in the TAGKC Ugadi Vedukalu.
  • Chess & Kid's Art will have 2 winners (one per each age group)
  • Registration desk for games will open at 1:00PM and all games will begin (in parallel) at 1:30PM - 5:00PM. 

*Please note that stencils/permanent markers/pre-drawn traces/ rangoli tools are strictly not allowed*

 
Lunch:
  • All proceeds (post expenses) will be donated to Hindu Temple.
  • Lunch is from 11:00 - 2:30PM.
  • Subject to availability, special food will be available for sale after 2:30PM as well.
Lunch Combo Menu $4:
  • Combo 1: 
    Dosa(Plain/Masala/cheese/Karan/Nutella), Kesari with chutney, Sambar
  • Combo 2:
    Idly, vada, Kesari with Chutney, Sambar.
  • Combo 3:
    Pongal, Vada, Kesari with Chutney, Sambar.
Chutney and Sambar for any combo.
Tea is available all the time and during games, there would be special dosas.

NOTE:

You can pay your 2020 TAGKC membership dues, renewals or new signups at Temple. This will avoid long lines on our UGADI event and will speed up the process of getting into the auditorium quickly and a chance to settle first before rest.

TAGKC Program committee invites all the members to come forward with enthusiasm and enroll for cultural activity of your choice like dance, drama, mimicry, magic, singing, Poems etc.

Program items should be creative and reflect Telugu/ Indian culture. Participants should try to incorporate flavor of our rich culture and heritage in their activity.

Program committee would like you to read the following rules before you make a registration. Please note that the program committee shall reserve the right should there be any discrepancies.

  • A group registration should contain at least 6 participants. While the committee shall try it’s best to not add any kids to a pre-formed group, the program committee may request the teacher to accept more folks should there be a need while forming groups.
  • All participants should pay the participation fee during the registration period and the teacher is responsible for collecting these fees in a group registration.
  • All programs (including programs for adults) must be registered during the registration period. No last-minute or late entries shall be entertained.
  • No participant shall be allowed to participate in more than one program, even if it is for a brief moment of time.
  • No solo performances for kids under 18 years shall be allowed for any programs. Solo programs for adults shall only be allowed in exceptional scenarios and if time permits after all the programs are finalized.
  • Participants are not allowed to switch groups once the practice begins. Any participant changing groups after practice commencement shall not be allowed to participate in the event. For all Songs and Dance programs, the tracks should be handed over to the program committee at least 4 weeks before the event.
  • To eliminate duplication, the Song names should be emailed to the committee along with the registration. If multiple group select the same song or a piece of song, the group that first sends us this information will be allowed to use those songs. It will be on a first-come first-serve basis, and other groups shall be requested to pick a different song. unless it is a true classical program.
  • Only tracks from Telugu movies should be used for songs and dances, unless it is a true classical program.
  • To maintain a better quality of the program, every program (NO Exceptions), including adults programs, need to be reviewed by the committee at least 2 weeks before the event.

Each of these tastes symbolizes 6 different expressions of human nature such as happiness, surprise, anger, fear, disgust and sadness. Participants should try to incorporate this theme in their activity. Please register using the options below.

TAGKC Program committee invites all the members to come forward with enthusiasm and enroll for cultural activity of your choice like dance, drama, mimicry, magic, singing, Poems etc. The theme this year will be “Shadruchulu” which means 6 different tastes i.e. bitter, tanginess, sour, spicy, sweet and salty. Each of these tastes symbolizes 6 different expressions of human nature such as happiness, surprise, anger, fear, disgust and sadness. Participants should try to incorporate this theme in their activity. Please register using the options below.

         i.            Individual group members may proceed to complete the step 1, once this activity is successfully complete; TAGKC sends a PDF file by email. This file contains Participant Confirmation Numbers associated with this transaction.

 

       ii.            Provide the Participant confirmation Number(s) received from the above step to the Group Coordinator/ Choreographer/ Teacher.

 

      iii.            Group coordinator/ Choreographer/ Teacher may complete the step 2 [Register (Group)] using the above information provided by all group members/ parents.

  • Participants are not allowed to switch groups once the practice begins. Any participant changing groups after practice commencement shall not be allowed to participate in the event. For all Songs and Dance programs, the tracks should be handed over to the program committee at least 4 weeks before the event.
  • To eliminate duplication, the Song names should be emailed to the committee along with the registration. If multiple group select the same song or a piece of song, the group that first sends us this information will be allowed to use those songs. It will be on a first-come first-serve basis, and other groups shall be requested to pick a different song. unless it is a true classical program.
  • Only tracks from Telugu movies should be used for songs and dances, unless it is a true classical program.
  • To maintain a better quality of the program, every program (NO Exceptions), including adults programs, need to be reviewed by the committee at least 2 weeks before the event.

  1. Group coordinator/ Choreographer/ Teacher may complete the registration process by paying for all Participants (example 6 partcipants) by going to the group registration [Register (Group)].

  • Yes. The participants need to complete the registration [Register (Individual)] and in comments section, indicate the group the participant would like to be added to.

  • Yes. TAGKC will help find a group for you/ your child. Please complete registration [Register (Individual)], and in comments section, indicate that you need help with finding a group.
